We will provide service only upon a mutually
agreeable outcome of a complimentary "Get Acquainted" meeting, during which the client has the opportunity to learn more about
our services and qualifications, while we have the opportunity to learn more about their pet(s) and home. During the meeting,
we will document all details of the engagement, sign a service agreement and obtain a copy of the client's house and mail
keys.
All pet sitting visits are paid for in advance
either in cash, check or credit card (Visa or Mastercard).
A specific time of arrival is not guaranteed.
We allow a 2 hour time window for arriving at each client’s home. This allows us a period of time to handle any unavoidable
circumstances that may arise at another client’s home or difficulty in travel.
All dogs, cats and other pets (those required
by law to be inoculated) under our care must be up to date on their rabies and required vaccinations.
We highly recommend that your dog be licensed
and the ID tag be attached to his/her collar.
We require that your dog’s collar be of
an appropriate size for him/her and in good condition. Additionally, we will not use"choke" chain collars during the pet sitting
engagement due to strangulation hazards.
We highly recommend that cats have safety collars
with current and legible ID tags and that they remain indoors at all times. We will not be liable for safety of free roaming
outdoor cats in the event of injury, illness, loss or death.
We require that dogs with access to the outdoors
have a secure perimeter fence line, free of holes, gaps, deteriorated fence material, etc. It is the client's responsiblity
to "pet proof" any areas of the home where the pet has access. I cannot be held responsible for injuries that the pet suffers
due to unsafe conditons of their home.
We conduct all home visits on consecutive days,
beginning on the day of or the day after client's departure, and ending on the day of or the day before client's return.
Due to insurance requirements, we cannot "job
share" with a client's friends, neighbors, or relatives.
We walk or take pets off the client's secured
premises only on a leash or in an appropriate carrier.
Please do NOT leave your friend’s, neighbor’s,
parent’s or any other person’s pets at your house for pet sitting care without notifying us in advance. We are
only contracted to care for your pets that are listed on the service agreement. The owners of the other pets must have a separate
service agreement with us.
We require that the client secure their home
before the pet sitting service begins. This means that all doors, windows and other access points into the home are securely
locked. This is extremely important for the pet sitter’s safety, the safety of your home and posessions and additionally,
the client will not be covered under our insurance policy.
We will not provide pet sitting services if you
have family or guests staying in your home while you are gone.
T Wheat's Paw-2-Purr-Fect Pet & House Sitting
Services will NOT pick up or leave keys under the mat or any other unsecure place. We will not lock the keys in your home
on the last day of the service engagement. We strongly recommend that you let us retain your keys for future services (they
are coded and kept in a locked key safe separate from your personal information). Many of our clients enjoy the comfort of
knowing that if something comes up (i.e. working late, trapped in traffic, need to have someone wait for a service person,
etc.) your pet sitter has the key and is more than happy to help in a pinch.
Cancellations may be made up to two days in advance
of the first scheduled service. After that period, a cancellation fee equal to one visit will be charged. During holiday periods,
cancellations may be made up to five days in advance of the first scheduled service. After that a cancellation fee of 20%
of the total reservation will be charged.
